Discussion
Too young to grade, but Hersbrucker can be tasted

From the early showing I added the Hersbrucker too late as there is significant hop flavor and aroma. Out of style for a Octoberfest. Has the makings for a good beer but its just new to the keg and needs significnat aging. May have to recategorize.
Just as good as the first batch

Slight modifications (WY2112 Yeast and 1 lb less 120L Crystal from "Kriegster Fest") but the beer is great again. Nice amber color with hints of toast. Nice hop bitterness and flavor, but not aroma. The 2112 (California Common) gives it even fuller body leaving some sweetness to balance the hop. Color lighter and truer to style. Needed that week in the keg to mature and get rid of the hoppy (grassy) flavor. Will continue to get better with age...if it lasts that long. Will be brewing this one for years to come. KEEPER!
