  • 6 lbs Belgian Pale

    Belgian Pale

    Fully modified and is easily converted.

  • 3 lbs American Munich

    American Munich

    Munich Dunkels. Adds color/nutty flavor. Sometimes called Aromatic.

  • 1 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • .375 lbs Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian light crystal malt. Used in lighter Abbey or Trappist style ales.

  • .75 oz Northern Brewer - 7.8 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • .666 oz Saaz - 3.6 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

    Classic farmhouse ale yeast. Spicy and complex aromatics including bubble gum. Very tart and dry on palate with mild fruit. Finishes crisp and mildly acidic.

Notes

I used Wyeast 3726 Farmhouse Ale and fermented at 68 degree, lower than you might normally expect for a Belgian.
