Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • .5 lbs Light Crystal; Pauls Malt

    Light Crystal; Pauls Malt

    Pauls Crystal Malts are made from a two-stage roasting process that consists of a stewing period followed by high temperature curing. By careful control of these two stages, Pauls is able to generate a range of differently colored Crystal Malts, including Light, Medium, Dark, and Extra Dark Crystal. Typically, Crystal Malts are used in brewing to add both color and sweetness.

  • 3.33 lbs Light; John Bull

    Light; John Bull

    Made from Lager malt, it will add body and character to any light brew. Light malt extract will impart rich flavor compounds, ensure an excellent fermentation, and improve the clarity.

  • 2.5 lbs Corn Sugar

    Corn Sugar

    Use in priming beer or in extract recipes where flaked maize would be used in a mash.

  • .5 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% whole; boiled 45 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .5 oz Hallertau - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 45 min

    Hallertau

    Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • .25 oz Bullion - 7.5 AA% whole; boiled 30 min

    Bullion

    Neutral. Not highly regarded.

  • .75 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% whole; added dry to primary fermenter

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .5 oz Willamette - 5.0 AA% whole; added dry to primary fermenter

    Willamette

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • .5 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; added dry to primary fermenter

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • Wyeast 2042 Danish Lager™

    Wyeast 2042 Danish Lager™

    Rich, dortmund-style, crisp, dry finish. Soft profile accentuates hop characteristics.

Notes

Also added 0.5oz Hallertau as finish hops. Fermented at room temperature.
