Inspired by the "Double Bock" from Sam Adams. Tasty lager was my first attempt at lagering at home, although I cheated a bit with the California lager yeast!

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

    Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 80°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • .5 lbs Belgian Chocolate Malt

    Adds a nutty flavor, Brown Ales

  • .25 lbs American Black Patent

    American Black Patent

    Provides color and sharp flavor in stouts and porters.
