Half-brown, half-white ale. Inspired by my deceased Brittany Spaniel Abby. The goal is a hoppy, nutty, and spicy lite brown wit ale.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs English Brown Malt

    English Brown Malt

    Imparts a dry, biscuit flavor. Used in nut brown ales, porters and some Belgian ales.

  • .6 lbs Belgian Wheat Malt

    Belgian Wheat Malt

    Malted wheat for use in Wheat beers.

  • .25 lbs American Victory

    American Victory

    Provides a deep golden to brown color. Use in nut brown ales, IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • .25 lbs Belgian Chocolate Malt

    Belgian Chocolate Malt

    Adds a nutty flavor, Brown Ales

  • .17 lbs Oat Malt; Thomas Fawcett

    Oat Malt; Thomas Fawcett

  • 2 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 4 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 2 oz Northern Brewer - 8.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Corriander seeds

    Coriander is the seed of Coriandrum sativum, a plant in the parsley family. The seed is globular and almost round, brown to yellow red, and 1/5 inch in diameter with alternating straight and wavy ridges. Coriander has a mild, distinctive taste similar to a blend of lemon and sage.

  • 4 g Bitter Curacao/Bitter Orange (Peel) - Curaco Orange Peel (omitted from calculations)
