Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .75 lbs English Amber Malt

    English Amber Malt

    Roasted malt used in British milds, old ales, brown ales, nut brown ales.

  • .75 lbs Crystal Malt 80°L

    Crystal Malt 80°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • 0.50 lbs Pale Chocolate; Crisp

    Pale Chocolate; Crisp

    Roasted coffee flavor.

  • 0.33 lbs Roasted Barley

    Roasted Barley

    Sweet, grainy, coffee flavor and a red to deep brown color. For porters and stouts.

  • .25 lbs Cara 8 - Caramel Malt; Dingemans

    Cara 8 - Caramel Malt; Dingemans

    Dingemans Cara 8 is a very light crystal malt made by drying barley malt at low temperatures. The result is a malt that will lend body, smoother mouth-feel, and foam stability. This malt must be mashed with other kilned malts due to the lack of enzymes.

  • 7.5 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 2 lbs Maple Syrup

    Maple Syrup

    Imparts a dry, woodsy flavor if used in the boil. If beer is bottled with it, it gives it a smooth sweet, maple taste. Use in maple ales, pale ales, brown ales and porters.

  • 1 lbs Candi Sugar Amber

    Candi Sugar Amber

    Smooth taste, good head retention, sweet aroma and high gravity without being apparent. Use in Belgian and holiday ales. Use clear for tripels, amber for dubbels, and dark is used in brown beer and strong golden ales.

  • 0.50 lbs Dark Brown Sugar

    Dark Brown Sugar

    Imparts rich, sweet flavor. Use in Scottish ales, old ales and holiday beers.

  • 1.0 oz Northern Brewer - 8.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1.0 oz Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Goldings

    Mild. Slightly flowery.

  • 1 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.

to much light dry extract it well be odd. cut some of it and add some amber or crystal Maloneyboys
