Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1.0 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1.0 lbs Honey Malt

    Honey Malt

    Nutty honey flavor. For brown ales, Belgian wheats, bocks and many other styles.

  • 6.0 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 1.5 oz Centennial - 9.4 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 1.0 oz Cascade - 6.0 AA% whole; boiled 20 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 0.5 oz Cascade - 6.0 AA% whole; boiled 2 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1.0 tsp Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.

Turned out decent

Good hop flavor in this one. The honey malt added a smooth mouth feel but not an overwhelming amount of honey flavor. Definitely a keeper.
