Ingredients (Extract3 gal)

  • 1 lbs Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian light crystal malt. Used in lighter Abbey or Trappist style ales.

  • 1 lbs Belgian Special B

    Belgian Special B

  • 6.2 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 0.75 lbs Molasses

    Molasses

    Imparts strong sweet flavor. Use in stouts and porters.

  • 1 oz Cluster - 7.9 AA% pellets; boiled 70 min

    Used for bittering and flavor qualities in light and dark American lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 0.5 oz Perle - 5.7 AA% pellets; boiled 25 min

    Perle

    Used mainly for its minty bittering and good green hop aromas in all non-pilsener lagersand wheats. Aroma is pleasant and slightly spicy

  • Munton-Fison Active Brewing Yeast

    Munton-Fison Active Brewing Yeast

    Some fruity esters, attenuative, fair to good reputation.

Notes

Fermented from 1.114 to 1.044 with Munton dry ale yeast, then received dry champagne yeast in the secondary. Sloooowly fermenting. Received some nutmeg, clove, and a stick of cinnamon in the secondary. Will add just a touch of chocolate flavoring and possibly cherry flavoring before bottling.
