This is a completely unbalanced stout intended to be liked only by me. Surprisingly, most of my beer-loving friends liked this.

Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 4.0 lbs American Black Patent

    American Black Patent

    Provides color and sharp flavor in stouts and porters.

  • 6 lbs Roasted Barley

    Roasted Barley

    Sweet, grainy, coffee flavor and a red to deep brown color. For porters and stouts.

  • 1.5 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 7 lbs Liquid Dark Extract

    Liquid Dark Extract

    Used predominantly in the production of dark beers such as milds, browns, porters, and stouts.

  • .25 lbs Malto Dextrin

    Malto Dextrin

    Adds body and mouthfeel. For all extract beers. Does not ferment.

  • 2 oz Chinook - 13.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% whole; boiled 30 min
