Ingredients (Extract3 gal)

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • .25 lbs Melanoidin Malt

    Melanoidin Malt

    Red Ales

  • .25 lbs Honey Malt

    Honey Malt

    Nutty honey flavor. For brown ales, Belgian wheats, bocks and many other styles.

  • 4.0 lbs Dry Light; Muntons

    Dry Light; Muntons

    Used as the base for a wide variety of styles of beers, including lager, pale ales, bitters, and export bitters. Contains no colored malts.

  • .25 lbs Malto Dextrin

    Malto Dextrin

    Adds body and mouthfeel. For all extract beers. Does not ferment.

  • .5 oz Amarillo® - 8.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

Notes

Using up 2oz of Amarillo hop plugs I bought. I also had 4 lbs of Muntons Dry (Plain Light) Extract. 10 EBC. This is a small batch experiment in 3 gallons to test process/flavor. Use 1lbs of extract in first 40 minutes of boil, add the additional 3 lbs in the last 20 minutes. Follow the hop timing.
