Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 0.45 lbs American Caramel 40°L

    American Caramel 40°L

Provides color, a unique flavor, body, and contributes to foam retention and beer stability.

  • 0.3 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 4 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 3 lbs Dry Light; Muntons

    Dry Light; Muntons

Used as the base for a wide variety of styles of beers, including lager, pale ales, bitters, and export bitters. Contains no colored malts.

  • 1 oz Cluster - 7.9 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Cluster

Used for bittering and flavor qualities in light and dark American lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 0.50 oz Amarillo® - 8.9 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Amarillo®

Grown in Washington. A newer multi-use hop with a nice citrus-flower bouquet and medium-high acid content suited for bittering. Used in American Ales and IPAs.

  • White Labs WLP041 Pacific Ale

    White Labs WLP041 Pacific Ale

A popular ale yeast from the Pacific Northwest. The yeast will clear from the beer well, and leave a malty profile. More fruity than WLP002, English Ale Yeast. Good yeast for English style ales including milds, bitters, IPA, porters, and English style stouts.

Notes

The hop shortage caused me to use previously unfamiliar hops, rather than the preferred Cascade. We'll see.

I think you'll be pleased with the Amarillo Hops and will use them again as a preferred hop. I do.
