An as-of-yet untried recipe, but of a style that I've been wanting to try for a while now. I was thinking a nice, light bitter would be good during the approaching summer months

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .5 lbs American Caramel 90°L

    American Caramel 90°L

    Mild caramel,nutty flavor, sweet. adds color(Red Ale)

  • 4.5 lbs Dry Light; Muntons

    Dry Light; Muntons

    Used as the base for a wide variety of styles of beers, including lager, pale ales, bitters, and export bitters. Contains no colored malts.

  • 1 oz Northern Brewer - 6.9 AA% pellets; boiled 75 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1 oz Fuggle - 5.1 AA% pellets; boiled 2 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • Danstar Manchester

    Danstar Manchester

    Produces very complex, woody and full-bodied ale. Sensory contribution in the tradition of English-style ale.
