I brewed the first batch & it was very well received. The hops are a little on the low side because that is that way that I like my beers.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 6.6 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 1 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 1 oz Sterling - 7.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Sterling

    Perceived to be similar to a Saaz and Mt. Hood combination. Finding favor as a Saaz replacement.

    White Labs WLP001 California Ale
