Ingredients (Partial Mash2 gal)

  • 1.2 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 0.5 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1.7 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 0.4 lbs Corn Flaked (Maize)

    Corn Flaked (Maize)

    Generally a neutral flavor, used to reduce maltiness of beer. Produces beer with a milder, less malty flavor. Uses: Primarily for light Bohemian and Pilsner lagers.

  • 0.3 oz Challenger - 8.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Challenger

    Popular bittering hop used primarily in British ales and lagers. Mild to moderate aroma, but quite spicy.

  • 0.3 oz Target - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Target

    Used for its robust bittering ability in British ales and lagers. Aroma is quite intense.

  • 0.2 oz Northern Brewer - 8.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • Wyeast 1318 London Ale III™

    Wyeast 1318 London Ale III™

    From traditional London brewery with great malt and hop profile. True top cropping strain, fruity, very light, soft balanced palate, finishes slightly sweet.

Over hopped by accident. Mashed at 150F, Fly and Batch sparge at 168F

This beer turned out great. It is a little hoppy, especially for the style, but still really good. Beer matured quickly and was ready to drink as soon as it was carbonated. I only give it 3 out of 5 because I screwed up the hopping. Otherwise it deserves a 4.
