Boiled 11/24...Into the secondary today (12/07) with some residual fermentation still going on. SG=1.020. Oily and black, with a distinctly sharp burnt-coffee aroma.
Into the bottle - VERY nice!

DJ and I just bottled this guy. Tastes very creamy with a nice woodsy hop note. Full flavored, but not harsh at all, with a velvety smooth mouthfeel. Should be a dandy in a couple weeks. FG=1.017
A rich, snappy blackie -- Will enter a local contest.

This one is going to age nicely, I predict. It needs a couple weeks, but has a good hopsnote that doesn't overshadow the black roasted grains and dark, rich toffee. Mouth feel is surprisingly round and full -- but still with some sharp youth to it. Should be real nice by Valentines Day.
Wow! One beauty of a porter!

This baby is improving every week. Shared some with four friends last night before hitting a local brewpub -- several agreed it was the best beer of the night! Classic porter aromas and flavors, with a nice hops edge and a slight sharpness characteristic of a Robust Porter style. Great finish. Much like Smutttynose Black Proter, but not as sweet in the finish. A real lip-smacker!
