This is the beer that won best in show in 2005, Missouri Garage Brewer's Society. My last extract brew, I have not set down to convert it to all-grain yet.

Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 5.36 lbs English 2-row Pils

    English 2-row Pils

    Pilsner base malt.

  • .44 lbs English 2-row Lager

    English 2-row Lager

  • .44 lbs Belgian Pale

    Belgian Pale

    Fully modified and is easily converted.

  • 5.72 lbs Dry Extra Light Extract

    Dry Extra Light Extract

    For making very pale ales and lagers.

  • 0.67 lbs Corn Sugar

    Corn Sugar

    Use in priming beer or in extract recipes where flaked maize would be used in a mash.

  • 0.8 oz Chinook - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 0.49 oz Centennial - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • Wyeast 3944 Belgian Witbier™

    Wyeast 3944 Belgian Witbier™

    A tart, slightly phenolic character capable of producing distinctive witbiers and grand cru-style ales alike. Alcohol tolerant.
