Dunkelweizen • Partial Mash • 5 gal

mnstorm99

Apple Cider will add fermentables, I will post with actual gravity when it is brewed. So I kept the OG low to compensate.

Finally brewed today

OG came in at 1.045. The flavor is of apple and wheat so far. I think this one should turn out pretty good.

A Little Sour

2007-11-04 8:31am

The cider is coming accross sour, I am hoping this will even out in the bottles. The FG came in at 1.014 (4.1%). The aroma is about right for a dunkel with apple, hopefully this comes out better one it is conditioned.

Flavor is good

The cider must have dried this one out a bit but the sourness is much more subtle. It has a sour tinge to it, but the malts even that out a bit. Overall a pretty good beer.
