Magic Pat #99
American Pale Ale • Partial Mash • 5 gal
This was based on a clone recipe from BYO magazine. I had to use hallertau instead of tettenag. because my hbs was out of tettenag. also had to use wyeast 1056 instead of british ale yeast. I saw another clone magazine in the hbs for magic hat #9 and it said to use 1056 so i think i'm fine here. I racket to secondary last night 7-9-07 and it had an excellent aroma already. I used 3.5 oz of apricot extract instead of the 3 that it called for. I like apricot so we'll see how it tastes..I'll let you all know in 2-3 weeks
