Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .25 lbs American Caramel 10°L

    American Caramel 10°L

    This malt is light in color with a sweet caramel flavor. It is a great malt for light lagers and ales.

  • .5 lbs American Munich

    American Munich

    Munich Dunkels. Adds color/nutty flavor. Sometimes called Aromatic.

  • .25 lbs American Victory

    American Victory

    Provides a deep golden to brown color. Use in nut brown ales, IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • .25 lbs American Vienna

    American Vienna

    Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

  • 8 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1 oz Columbus - 15.0 AA% pellets; boiled 45 min

    Used mainly for bittering with some flavor qualities as well. Aroma is pleasant.

  • 1 oz Columbus - 15.0 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

  • White Labs WLP051 California Ale V

    White Labs WLP051 California Ale V

    From Northern California. This strain is more fruity than WLP001, and slightly more flocculant. Attenuation is lower, resulting in a fuller bodied beer than with WLP001.

Notes

3gl water at 70* and drop grains, hold temp for 10 minutes and bring to 140* and pull grains. Bring to a boil and add 8lbs Dark Extract. Let boil come again "about 5 minutes" and add 1oz Centennial. boil for 45 minutes. Add 1oz Columbus boil for 10 minutes. Add 1oz Centennial and boil for 10 minutes. Bring wort to 75* and pitch yeast. Primary for for 14days at 70*, trans. to secondary and dry hop with 1oz Centennial and let sit for 14 days. Bottle and injoy. Its a nice burger beer, hops complment the Caramel 10*.

It comes out a little darker then what its says. This brew is from my American Indian background. A good strong water with foam brew. I have all my recipes on here please check out them by going to the left of the screen and typing Ron_Rybicki in the search for text box. If you brew this please let me know. thanks
