Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .75 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • .16 lbs American Black Patent

    American Black Patent

    Provides color and sharp flavor in stouts and porters.

  • 3.3 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 2 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • .25 lbs Molasses

    Molasses

    Imparts strong sweet flavor. Use in stouts and porters.

  • 1 oz Willamette - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

Notes

The orange zest it from one whole baseball sized orange. Add orange zest when temp reaches 150*f Steep Grain in grain bag @ 150-160*f for 30 minutes remove grainbag LEAVE THE ORANGE ZEST IN, bring to boil, add 1 oz hops,malts and molasses boil for 60 minutes add the last 1 oz of hopes at the last 5 minutes of boil total boil time is 60 minutes
