took a little break from brewing. now have a friend involved. makes it alot more fun. had one corked magnum of this beer from first brewing. been aging almost 12 months. me and my new brew partner cracked her open and went to heaven. all the flavors that dominated before aging really settled and have married well with the backnote flavors now this beer has one flavor...... amazing is what i would call this flavor. the coffee was intense before now is a subtle hint under a pretty smokey layer with a oatey chocolate foundation that does not fail to satisfy. am in process of starting a brewery from the ground up. more i9n the future. new batch is flocculating up a storm and i omitted the coffee and added a little molasses. shaping up to be a knockout.
