Lambstrong

Currently in the primary. Very agressive fermentation. The blow off hose is sputtering a lot out. I'll keep you posted how this turns out.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs German Wheat Malt Light

    German Wheat Malt Light

    Typical top fermented aroma, produces superb wheat beers.

  • .5 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

    Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • .25 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 9.3 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 2 lbs Candi Sugar Clear

    Candi Sugar Clear

    Smooth taste, good head retention, sweet aroma and high gravity without being apparent. Use in Belgian and holiday ales. Use clear for tripels, amber for dubbels, and dark is used in brown beer and strong golden ales.

  • 1 oz Styrian Goldings - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

  • .5 oz Czech Saaz - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Very mild. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Czech Saaz - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 5 min

  • 2 g Grains of Paradise - (omitted from calculations)

    Wyeast 1762 Belgian Abbey II™

    High gravity yeast with distinct warming character from ethanol production. Slightly fruity with dry finish.

Notes

In addition I used 1 pk of Safeale 04 and .20 oz of ginger. Steep grains @ 170 for 20 minutes. Add candi sugar and spices during last 10 min. Primary 2 weeks and secondary 2 weeks. Bottle and age.
