  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • .5 lbs Weyermann Carafa® III; Weyermann

    Weyermann Carafa® III; Weyermann

    Carafa I, II and III also are available de-husked. Adds aroma, color and body.

  • 4 lbs Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Reportedly lightest colored malt extract available.

  • 1.75 lbs Dry Light; Muntons

    Dry Light; Muntons

    Used as the base for a wide variety of styles of beers, including lager, pale ales, bitters, and export bitters. Contains no colored malts.

  • 1 oz Pride of Ringwood - 10.3 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

  • Wyeast 2112 California Lager™

    Wyeast 2112 California Lager™

    Particularly suited for producing 19th century-style West Coast beers. Retains lager characteristics at temperatures up to 65F, and produces malty, brilliantly-clear beers.

Good stuff. Jet black in color, but easy drinking. Roasty flavors present, though not overpowering. Quantity of specialty grains need to be reduced to fix this per style. Otherwise, easy black lager to brew.
