Nice winter warmer recipe. Probably would be a good base ale for spiced winter beers also.

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 80°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • .25 lbs Belgian Special B

  • 8 lbs Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Reportedly lightest colored malt extract available.

  • 1 lbs Dry Light; Muntons

    Dry Light; Muntons

    Used as the base for a wide variety of styles of beers, including lager, pale ales, bitters, and export bitters. Contains no colored malts.

  • 1 oz Pride of Ringwood - 10.3 AA% pellets; boiled 45 min

    Moderate.

  • 1 oz Pride of Ringwood - 10.3 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Wyeast 1187 Ringwood Ale™

Good old ale. Low attenuation on the part of the yeast keeps this beer malty and full bodied. And the Special B adds some nice hints of raisin-like flavors.
