American Amber Ale • Extract • 5 gal

This recipe will get brewed the weekend of 7/01/2006 and will hopefully turn out good and ready to drink by the end of July. I plan on adding one good handful of fresh cilantro and two chopped and diced, dried New Mexico chile peppers to the secondary fermenter. I will use 5 oz. of corn sugar for priming before bottling. Maybe this will become the beer of my dreams for drinking with Mexican food.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 0.97 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.28 lbs American Caramel 10°L

  • 1.86 lbs Liquid Light Extract
