This is a Belgian Style Tripel which I actually call SMAG Tripel from the name of my dance company. It has to do with being in love and that person walking away from you. 1 or 2 beers and you will forget about love walking away

Ingredients (Extract15 gal)

  • 3 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 2 lbs Belgian Wheat Malt

    Belgian Wheat Malt

    Malted wheat for use in Wheat beers.

  • 6 lbs Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Made with a preponderance of wheat malt (55%) for the production of wheat or Weiss beers. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 13.2 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 5 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 3 lbs Candi Sugar Clear

    Candi Sugar Clear

    Smooth taste, good head retention, sweet aroma and high gravity without being apparent. Use in Belgian and holiday ales. Use clear for tripels, amber for dubbels, and dark is used in brown beer and strong golden ales.

  • 2 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Styrian Goldings - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 45 min

    Mild, pleasant.

  • 2 oz Perle - 8.2 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Used mainly for its minty bittering and good green hop aromas in all non-pilsener lagersand wheats. Aroma is pleasant and slightly spicy

    White Labs WLP500 Trappist Ale

    From one of the six Trappist breweries remaining in the world, this yeast produces the distinctive fruitiness and plum characteristics. Excellent yeast for high gravity beers, Belgian ales, dubbels and trippels.
