The chocolate chips go in the secondary, right? Do you crush them first or throw them in whole?

you do indeed put them in the secondary. I smash them a bit, it is whatever you think will be better. I have gotten great results by just smashing a bit. Thank you.
Chocolate chips and sanitation

Not to sound like a complete newbie but...do you need to worry about sanitization of said chocolate chips before putting them in the secondary? Or do you just dump from package to secondary?
