First attempt at a Scottish light. Bottle conditioned in my basement to start with, under carbonated after 10 Days. brought into 70 degree temp and carbonation kicked in. good tasting light mouthfeel with a dry finish.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 0.53 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.13 lbs American Chocolate Malt

    American Chocolate Malt

    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

  • 3.3 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 0.25 lbs Light Brown Sugar

    Light Brown Sugar

    Imparts rich, sweet flavor. Use in Scottish ales, old ales and holiday beers.

  • 0.5 lbs Malto Dextrin

    Malto Dextrin

    Adds body and mouthfeel. For all extract beers. Does not ferment.

  • 1 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

gravitys did vary from what BT shows. SG=1.036 FG=1.009
