  • .5 lbs Black Roasted Barley

    Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of many stouts. Imparts a sharp acrid flavor characteristic of dry stouts. Gives "dryness" to a stout or porter ,more so than regular Roasted Barley.

How it turned out....

Fermentation went well. Bottled in two batches - half as brewed, half with the addition of 2 oz of cherry flavoring. Both turned out very good.

When bottled, half of the batch was flavored with cherry flavoring. Within 2 months the cherry has pretty much disapated.
