Created this one to brew for the birth of my first son who will be named James. It follows belgian tradion as a beer brewed when a couple finds out that they are expecting an adition to the family, and is not drank until the child is born.

Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 5.20 lbs Belgian Pils

    Belgian Pils

    Pilsner style malted barley grain.

  • 0.60 lbs Belgian Munich

    Belgian Munich

    Used to increase malt aroma and body with slightly more color.

  • 0.14 lbs Belgian Caramunich

    Belgian Caramunich

    Caramel, full flavor, copper color. For Belgian ales, German smoked and bocks.

  • 0.23 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 0.19 lbs Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian Caravienne

    Belgian light crystal malt. Used in lighter Abbey or Trappist style ales.

  • 0.28 lbs Belgian Wheat Malt

    Belgian Wheat Malt

    Malted wheat for use in Wheat beers.

  • 0.15 lbs Belgian Biscuit

    Warm baked biscuit flavor and aroma. Increases body. Use in Belgian beers.

Everything about this beer is great.

I brewed this beer and everything about it was great. We drank it when my son was born. Maybe it was just because of the joyious occasion, but everyone enjoyed it.
