Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 3/4 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 1/2 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 9 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1/3 lbs Torrified Wheat

    Torrified Wheat

    Helps head retention and mouthfeel, used in some pale ales.

  • 1 oz Northern Brewer - 8.0 AA% pellets; boiled 50 min

    Northern Brewer

    Used for bittering with strong flavors and very fragrant in steam beers, dark English ales, and German lagers. Aroma is medium-strong with evergreen and mint overtones.

  • 1/3 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1/3 oz Liberty - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Liberty

    Used mainly for finishing German and American style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild and pleasant.

  • White Labs WLP838 Southern German Lager

    White Labs WLP838 Southern German Lager

    This yeast is characterized by a malty finish and balanced aroma. It is a strong fermentor, produces slight sulfur, and low diacetyl.
