Notes

also WyEast Scottish Ale #1728 Saas hops were really Stirling. IBU is probably closer to low thirties, too. To half the batch, I added the equivalent of 1 t./pint of good single-malt scotch (Macallan's 12yo "Elegancia") at bottling, as an extra treat for the scotch afficionado's in my tasting audience. (The cost-per-bottle does NOT reflect the cost of the Macallans!) Bottled 3/26/05

4/18/05: Not sure the scotch adds a great deal to the flavor profile (maybe 1 t./pint was conservative) but both versions of this brew are just what I had in mind; a rich, strong, malty warmer.. FB
