Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 2.06 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 1.77 lbs American 6-row Pale

    American 6-row Pale

    Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

  • 0.15 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

    Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • 0.35 lbs German Light Crystal

  • 0.24 lbs Pacific Northwest Wheat

    Pacific Northwest Wheat

  • 3.40 lbs Dry Extra Light Extract

    Dry Extra Light Extract

    For making very pale ales and lagers.

  • 0.26 lbs White Table Sugar (Sucrose)

  • 0.4 oz Warrior® - 16.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Warrior®

    New hop with much potential. Very stable.

  • 0.50 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • 0.50 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.
