Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 6 lbs Dry Extra Light Extract

    Dry Extra Light Extract

    For making very pale ales and lagers.

  • 6 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 5 lbs Corn Sugar

    Corn Sugar

    Use in priming beer or in extract recipes where flaked maize would be used in a mash.

  • 1 lbs Oats Flaked

    Oats Flaked

    Belgian White Ale(wit), other specialty beers.

  • 2.5 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .75 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Wyeast 1338 European Ale™

    From Wissenschaftliche in Munich. Full-bodied complex strain finishing very malty. Produces a dense, rocky head during fermentation.

Notes

Add 4 crushed tablets of Beano to the fermentor. This will conver all the startches to a fermentable sugar. Rasing the alcohol and lowering the carbs.
