This yeast is famous for its clean flavors, balance and ability to be used in almost any style ale. It accentuates the hop flavors and is extremely versatile.
Notes
Mash at 150 for 60 minutes, mash out at 168 for 10 minutes. Ferment at 65-68F for 7-10 days, rack to secondary for 14-20 days or until clear.

Entered this beer as a Vienna Lager in the 2005 America's Finest City homebrew competiton. It took 1st place in it's category. Apparently the WLP001 is clean enough to convince the judges that it could be a lager. If I brew this again as an ale, I will try the White Labs East Coast Ale yeast, less of an edge on the hop character.
