Work in progress...I'm going for a deep red ale, not too bitter with a nice hop aroma and a slightly sweet finish. Comments/suggestions welcome and encouraged :o)

Ingredients (Extract10 gal)

  • 3 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • 6.6 lbs Liquid Light Extract

Notes

Steep crystal malt for 15-20 minutes @ 150F in muslin bag. When I remove grains I sparge with 8 cups of fresh hot water.
