  • 4.0 lbs American 6-row Pale

    American 6-row Pale

    Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

  • 4.0 lbs Belgian Pale

    Belgian Pale

    Fully modified and is easily converted.

  • 0.50 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.50 lbs Crystal Malt 90°L

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

Notes

STEEP: Drain steeping wort from bottom of lauter tun, heat, then recirc for clarity. MASH IN 30 min @ 130* 30 min @ 145* 30 min @ 155* SPARGE OUT @ 165* 1 Tsp. IRISH MOSS @ 15 MIN ADD HONEY @ 5 MIN Pour into 1 gallon water or on ice to acquire 80*, then pitch yeast.
