  • 5 lbs German 2-row Pils

  • 1 lbs German Wheat Malt Light

  • 0.2 lbs German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • 0.2 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.2 lbs German Vienna

    German Vienna

    Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

  • 3 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 1.25 oz Hallertauer Hersbrucker - 3.9 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

Notes

Mash in at 126 for 30 minutes. Decoct to raise temp to 145 - hold for 90 minutes. Mash-out at 170 for 10 min. 90 minute boil. Primary ferment at 60 F for 4 days with Kolsch yeast. Secondary at 50 F. until finished (re-pitch with German Lager yeast.)
