Mancave - Smoked Chocolate Raspberry Porter (10)
Robust Porter • All Grain • 11 gal
This came out awesome! Great balance between mellow smoke, chocolate and raspberry favors not over shadowed by hops. Got enough raspberry flavor from frozen raspberries that extract was not necessary. Might be needed if aged a few months.

I was very pleased with how this came out. I kept the bitterness on the low side with no flavor or aroma hop additions. I really wanted the malt, fruit, and chocolate up front. I was a little concerned there might be too much smoked malt, but I used Breiss cherry-wood smoked malt (not available in BT database) and it is a mild sweet smoked flavor that complements the raspberry and cacao nibs that I used in secondary. Best balance of smoke, chocolate and fruit that I've ever attempted and was a HUGE hit at my daughter's wedding.
