  • 1/4 lbs Medium Crystal Malt; Simpsons

    Ale colour and flavour adjustment tailored to requirement.

  • 1/8 lbs Belgian Biscuit

    Belgian Biscuit

    Warm baked biscuit flavor and aroma. Increases body. Use in Belgian beers.

  • 1/4 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

    Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • 1/2 lbs English Brown Malt

    English Brown Malt

    Imparts a dry, biscuit flavor. Used in nut brown ales, porters and some Belgian ales.

  • 3/16 lbs American Caramel 90°L

    American Caramel 90°L

    Mild caramel,nutty flavor, sweet. adds color(Red Ale)

  • 1/8 lbs Black Malt; Briess

    Black Malt; Briess

    Neutral flavor.   • 6 lbs Dry Amber Extract

  • 1 oz Nugget - 12.8 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

  • 0.5 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Wyeast 1338 European Ale™

    From Wissenschaftliche in Munich. Full-bodied complex strain finishing very malty. Produces a dense, rocky head during fermentation.

Notes

I split this batch into (2) 5 gallon carboys and used one vial of yeast in each. Currently on primary fermentation.
