Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 0.50 lbs Weyermann Carafa® II; Weyermann

    Weyermann Carafa® II; Weyermann

    Carafa I, II and III also are available de-husked. Adds aroma, color and body.

  • 1.5 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 6 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1 lbs Dry Extra Light Extract

    Dry Extra Light Extract

    For making very pale ales and lagers.

  • 1 oz Nugget - 13.8 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

the O.G. was 10.65 on this and has a very strong but good hop smell from fermenter

racked into secondary today

it had a nice rich brown color and fermentation went quicker than i expected. will post when I taste test after bottling

I bottled this brew today. tasted it warm and no carb. it was good had a nice hop bite to it color was a nice dark brown. can't wait to taste it cool and with carbination. i'll keep you posted

Tried one today cold it was good nice hop flavor with hints of carmel flavor

has a nice hop bite at first then you get a nice caramel finish. Nice golden brown head follows the beer all the way down. very good after aging almost a month
