Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .20 lbs Acidulated Malt

    Acidulated Malt

    High lactic acid. For lambics, sour mash beers, Irish stout, pilsners and wheats.

  • .20 lbs American Black Patent

    American Black Patent

    Provides color and sharp flavor in stouts and porters.

  • .20 lbs Peated Malt; Thomas Fawcett

    Peated Malt; Thomas Fawcett

    Ingredient for providing the essential peat flavour in whisky production. Heavy/medium or light peating levels.

  • 8 lbs Amber; John Bull

    Amber; John Bull

    For ales and bitters.

  • .5 oz Centennial - 10.0 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 1 oz Czech Saaz - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Czech Saaz

    Very mild. 'Noble'.

  • 1 oz Crystal - 3.2 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    Mild. 'Noble'. Used mainly for its aroma which is mild and pleasant.

  • 2 oz Chili Peppers - Dried ancho chilis, whole,Add with boiled hops (60 Minutes.) (omitted from calculations)
