Hello,
I used a no-rinse sanitizer (OXY-SAN) for all equipment since I started brewing, but head retention problems made me think of eventually rinsing with boiling water or using steam.
1- If I sanitize using only boiling water (no chemicals), how much contact time would be enough ?
2- In "Brewing Lager Beer", Greg Noonan prefers steam sanitizing. How can this be possible in a non-commercial setup ? The only thing I can think of is a steam cleaner, such as this one : http://www.steamcleanersplus.com/handhe ... amdart.htm
Anyone using steam cleaners ?

Thanks again, I'll know now for MoreBeer, but I use pumps in my setup so I couldn't use a foaming sanitizer such as StarSan. Anyway, the topic here is more about steam sanitizing.
I find it interresting because I think it could reduce sanitizing time if I only have to spray steam on all equipment, and pump boiling water in all hoses. I found that soaking everything in chemicals for several minutes is too long for the equipment I have and for bottle sanitizing, and I'm looking for an efficient and faster method.
