5gal to 10gal help

Post by derfburg21 »

I have a recipe that I have made before, it is a 5gal recipe. I want to make 10 gal this time, do I just change the final Vol. and BTP will adjust my grain, hops, mashing schedule amounts, etc? I did that and nothing changed. I am using the 1.0.22..

Yes, BTP will make the adjustments. There is a check box to the right of "Final Volume". If you check it the drop down menu to the right will be activated. Select "Scale" and when you change the volume the amounts of the ingredients will change.

next to the final volume field there's a check box and a small menu that lets you choose 'lock' or 'scale'. Choose 'scale', check the box, and change the volume. That should take care of most of it, but you might need to tweak the schedule to get all the volumes right, I'm not sure.
