Typically you'll want to add it to your boil which will help sterilize it. It only needs the last 10-15 minutes to do the job.

So then everything should be fine...?

Maybe a little longer in the secondary?

There's not really anything going on in the airlock but maybe once every two minutes (and that's probably just me walking next to it and shaking the floor).

Well, that's cool; I just wanted make sure the batch will work out.
