For those of us that brew there is a natural progression. We start from extract kits, move to creating our own extract recipes adding specialty grains, and then we discover all grain brewing. Just when you would think things couldn't get much better than this... you buy a chest freezer and a temp control unit and begin you lager adventure. Sure it takes more time and equipment but the wait is worth it.
I just wanted to put this out to all those beginner and intermediate brewers that they haven't reached the end of the rainbow yet. It's like life you know... it's not how fast you get to the finish line it's the journey that makes it all worth while.
