fermenter cork poped off overnight

What went wrong? Was this supposed to happen? Should I throw it out? What do I do now?

fermenter cork poped off overnight

I have fermenting IPA and on the second day in the carboy the rubber cork and blow hose tipped out of the carboy. I replaced the cork and blow hose on the carboy. Is there anything else I need to do? :(

Why not relax and have a homebrew? Seriously, I had the same issue the last time I brewed. I found the rubber cork 2 weeks later. I just put a new one next morning. That was 6 months ago and beer still not showing any sign of infection. Maybe I was lucky, but I don't think anything else can be done. If fermentation was started and already fully active, I guess you should be ok.

Just sanatize the cork. The positive preasure in the carboy (because of fermentation) should keep you safe.
