help with my pumpkin ale

Post by thyirishmen »

I wanted to create a pumpkin ale with a brown ale undertone. This was kinda my ruff recipe I came up with. I was also thinking about maybe trying some roasted pumpkin seeds in the recipe. any suggestions? thanks all and cheers

Brown Ale

Post by slothrob »

I like the idea of using a Brown Ale as the basis of a Pumpkin Ale.

That seems like a reasonable Brown Ale recipe. I tend to use darker Crystal Malts in my Brown Ales (55, 60, 120, things like that), but if that's a Brown Ale you like, then it's probably a good basis for the Pumpkin Ale.
