sugar or extract for honey ale

what is the best to use?? the recipie calls for either 3/4 cup corn sugar or using dry extract. My first batch of honey beer so any help would be appreciated :?: :?: :?:

I am guessing that the 3/4 cup sugar is for bottle conditioning and not in the base recipe. Use the sugar and save DME for another brew. Use corn sugar as it tends to ferment out without detectable aftertastes unlike cane sugar.
