Corn Sugar affects efficiency?
Corn Sugar affects efficiency?
I brewed a cream ale and added 1 lb of corn sugar at the end of the boil. My efficiency numbers are coming up strange (too high) though. In the Analysis Tab, I assume that the Kettle gravity is in reference to the END of the boil, correct?
Re: Corn Sugar affects efficiency?
It’s probably due to the sugar being 100% fermentable.

Re: Corn Sugar affects efficiency?
I can't be the first person to add corn sugar or Belgian candi sugar. What's the proper way to add this to a recipe?
Re: Corn Sugar affects efficiency?
Kettle gravity refers to the gravity before evaporation. Even if you add the sugar at the end, it will still be included in the kettle gravity.ibrubeer wrote:I brewed a cream ale and added 1 lb of corn sugar at the end of the boil.
